“Lucky Charms: Celtic Knot Earrings and Pendant” NEW CLASS $45
Celebrate St.Patrick’s Day this year by learning the tricks and treats of creating your own lucky charms—Celtic knot earrings and pendants using wire and beads. In this class you will learn how to create a variation of the decorative “Carrick bend” knot. This strong knot was used by sailors, but it can also be found as a design motif at Ormonde Castle in Ireland. First you will practice making your knot with dyed hemp cord, then you will translate what you learn to copper wire and beads in order to make a pair of earrings or a pendant. Cord, wire and beads will be provided.

“Nouveau Copper Beaded Bangle” (Beginner level) $45
The Art Nouveau style exemplifies flowing, curving lines and patterns characterized by floral and plant-inspired motifs. This simple but elegant copper wire bangle bracelet features copper wire patterned with oak leaves and acorns framed by scallops of copper wire embellished with beads. The techniques taught in this class are easily adaptable to other wire projects. This class includes all supplies needed to complete one bracelet that would have a retail value of at least $30. You will receive a fully illustrated step-by-step tutorial and enough extra wire to complete a second bracelet at home.

“Three Ring Circus” (Any level) $45
In this introductory class on wire ring making, learn how to construct three different types of rings: the hammer scroll ring (adjustable and non-adjustable types); the simple and classic Etruscan swirl ring; and the ever-popular one-bead ring, along with tips to make your own unique variations. Kelley will provide examples of rings that incorporate variations on these three techniques so that your eyes will be opened to the mystery of even more complicated wire ring construction. Wire and beads will be provided in this class.

“Cages and Cabochons” - with Kelley Pounds $45
When you think of wire-wrap jewelry, chances are you envision wire cages and cabochons. In this lesson you will begin with the cage wrap of a freeform polished stone and progress to the more complicated wrapping of an oval cabochon. In the process you will also learn how to give these traditional wire wrapping techniques your own unique twist using bead embellishments. Materials include square practice wire, one freeform polished stone, one clear freeform glass cab, and a 22 X 30 cabochon.

“Basic Stringing & Earrings” $35
Begin your journey into the world of bead stringing with Heather Kingsmore. Basic techniques of jewelry assembly will be taught including: choosing appropriate stringing materials, finishing techniques, and design basics. Students will also design and create a pair of earrings in class.

“Kid’s Only! Handmade Jewelry Class” $15 per child
Attention kids ages 6-12. Learn how to make your own handmade jewelry. Each student will get to make a necklace and/or bracelet to take home. Parents can come and watch.
